The small municipality of Wincrange is now home to Luxembourg's wind farm.

The wind farm will provide electricity to 30,000 people. It will be solely responsible for the production of 20% of the Grand Duchy's wind energy.

By the end of 2020, Luxembourg will boast 77 wind turbines on its territory. Wind farms are becoming increasingly efficient.

The number of wind turbines increased by 66% between 2008 and 2019. Over the same period, the wind farms produced four times the amount of electricity.

If the government's forecasts come true, Luxembourg will have supplied nearly 170,000 people with wind energy by the end of 2020.
