Trade union OGBL announced earlier this Friday that a "theoretical agreement" was found in negotiations revolving around the renewal of the supermarket chain's collective agreement.

3,200 employees will benefit from the renewed collective agreement, which covers a three-year period. Key points include a €20 raise in monthly wages, an additional €200 in yearly merit payments for 2020 (€120 for 2021 and 2022), and a productivity bonus of €10 per salary group. Child benefits will also increase from €60 to €65.

Employees will also benefit from longer breaks - 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes.

Trade unions OGBL and LCGB had been in conflict with cactus since December. The proposed new agreement, OGBL said, would implement their main requests. The next step will be to finalise the new agreement in writing and to get it signed by both parties.
