The Cisco Global Digital Readiness Index, in the company's words, helps nations understand "how well-positioned they are to take advantage of the benefits of digitisation". Good news for Luxembourg.
According to Cisco, "a holistic view of digital readiness was taken, examining multiple factors that indicate the progress that a nation has made towards digital maturity, and demonstrating areas of strength while providing guidance as to how they can invest to improve their overall readiness.”
These "holistic components" were basic needs, business & government investment, ease of doing business, human capital, start-up environment, technology adoption and technology infrastructure.
Luxembourg was ranked second is the index while Singapore topped the list. The index also confirmed the Grand Duchy's positioning as a leading start-up nation: it ranked first in the "Start-Up Environment" component.
