As the trade union reports, employees reported their boss as they had not been paid appropriate amounts. The employer then consequently attempted to intimidate those employees who refused to withdraw their complaints that they had submitted to relevant tribunals. The LCGB confirmed that three employees had been fired after being threatened.

According to the trade union press release, the employer behaviour did not cease after the intimidation was reported to the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM).

Having given the employer an official warning, the LCGB has now expressed its plan to take further action in order to protect the interest of Magetralux employees. There are currently around 110 individuals employed by Magetralux.
