StatecLuxembourg's population density is double the European average

According to a recent publication by Luxembourg’s statistics service Statec, officials authorised the construction of 5,600 new housing units last year. This amount to one home for every two new inhabitants.

Statec also found that Luxembourg’s population density is double the European average. Finland boasts the lowest population density while Malta has the highest.

Foreigners constitute 47% of the Grand Duchy’s population. 7% were born outside of the European Union.
