The police reported the car had caught fire between Sanem and Bascharage, blocking the right lane of the A13. Three vehicles are said to have been involved in the accident, which temporarily closed the motorway. Two kilometre-long traffic jams were reported at 11.10am.
Initial reports suggest that two people were injured in the accident.
