Tuesday 27 August 2019 marks a special event at the Schueberfouer, namely the 'Buergermeeschterdag', or the mayor's day. If you're visiting any of the restaurants at the fair, you may be a bit surprised by personnel changes.

Mayors from all over the country will meet at Brasserie Schumann at around 5pm and then visit the annual funfair. But the real fun kicks off at 7pm (and lasts until 10pm), as mayors from 33 municipalities will be serving customers in a number of the Schueberfouer's restaurants.

And of course, there is a good cause behind the entertaining shifts for mayors: instead of receiving a salary for their work, all money that would be earnt by the mayors on Tuesday evening will be donated to the Luxembourgish Red Cross in its entirety.
