Employment rates94% of recent tertiary graduates in Luxembourg in employment - 4th best in EU

Defined as graduates aged 20-34 who attained tertiary education within the last 3 years, the overall EU average is 85.5%.

Luxembourg’s 94% places us 4th in the Union, behind Malta (96.7%), the Netherlands (94.8%), and Germany (94.3%). Also interesting to note is that there is only a slight difference between genders in Luxembourg, with 94.7% of women attaining employment within 3 years of completing tertiary education, compared to 93.4% of men.

This trend is reversed if we look at the EU as a whole, where the rate is 84% for women and 87.2% for men. Other countries where the employment among recent female graduates is higher than that of males include Belgium (92.1/88.2%), France (86.5/82%), Cyprus (83/78.6%), and the UK (89/87.7%).
