
The recruitment day was specifically for jobs that will need to be filled ahead of the opening of the shopping centre in Cloche d'Or. The shopping centre is due to open to the public in May 2019 and will have 35 businesses basing their operations out of the new development.
Those businesses are now hiring ahead of the opening and there are over 700 jobs available.
On Thursday morning, those registered with ADEM were able to receive information before the recruitment day opened to the general public later in the afternoon.
Minister of Labour, Employment, and the Social and Solidarity Economy Dan Kersch was present at the recruitment day alongside the director of the National Employment Agency, Isabelle Schlesser. Both mingled with prospective applicants and potential bosses.
The jobs on offer at the recruitment day varied from retail roles such as cashiers and stock assistants to all kinds of jobs in the restaurant and services sector.
