Back to school statistics60,500 pupils expected in primary education, 51,400 in secondary education
On Monday morning, the Ministry of Education published the latest statistics for the upcoming school year, which reveal that the number of primary school children increased by 1,000 compared to last year.
The estimated 60,500 pupils will be taught by 6,650 teachers, out of whom 85% are government employees.
In secondary education, the number of students increased by close to 2,000 compared to the previous academic year. 5,265 teachers will work across Luxembourg’s secondary schools, out of whom 68% are government employees.
