Strassen60,000 children receive treatment at CHL in 2022

RTL Today
The Centre Hospitalier in Strassen (CHL) has published its annual rapport for 2022.

It stated that 60,000 children were treated in the emergency department, a rise of over 25% compared to 2021. This increase was largely due to the bronchiolitis epidemic. As a result, slightly more children than adults were treated in the ER in 2022.

Around half of the surgeries performed at the hospital were on patients who did not have to stay at the hospital overnight.

People who were hospitalised stayed there on average for seven days. The Robert Schuman group came to the same conclusion in their rapport.

The hospital’s operating costs were about 517 million euros and it employed 2,700 people last year.
