Seasonal police campaign40 motorcyclists fined for traffic offences in June

In June, the police intensified their monitoring of roads frequently used by motorcyclists, resulting in fines for numerous infractions.

A total of 40 motorcyclists were fined during these operations, with speeding offences being the most prevalent, accounting for 13 of the penalties. Notably, one motorcyclist had their licence immediately revoked after being caught travelling at 141 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. Another incident involved a motorcyclist exceeding the speed limit at 55 km/h in a 30 km/h zone.

In addition to speed violations, police conducted thorough vehicle inspections. Two motorcyclists received fines for inadequate tyre conditions, while four others were penalised for issues related to their exhaust systems. Eight riders were fined for faulty lighting on their vehicles.

Furthermore, fines were issued for various driving offences, including two for dangerous driving, two for disregarding road signs, three for failing to provide necessary onboard documents, and one for using a screen while driving.
