Video: 3rd edition of Springbreak35,000 visitors at this year's Springbreak

RTL Today
This year was the third time that the former "Fréijoersfoire" (spring fair) became Springbreak.

According to initial estimates, during the 4 day long fair, some 35,000 visitors walked through the doors.

With a new structure, a full program, festive atmosphere, events and surprises in all of the exhibition halls, along with some 100 exhibitors, there was clearly a winning recipe in place to attract the crowds.

It is important not to forget is that this 'initial visitor estimate' does not include those who just attended the gardening fair Jardirêve or the Vintage Fair held at the same time.

Morgan Gromy, the managing director at Luxexpo The Box, explains that the fair was based around the themes of sustainable development and innovation.

In order for this to be a success, he says, that they had to lead by example and put in the effort to make the event more sustainable. Luxexpo The Box, for example, was run without carpet, less lighting and a test recycling point.

Alongside this, the organisers tried to raise exhibitors awareness around issues of sustainability.

The organisers are happy to accept that further improvements could be made in regard to sustainability and highlight that they have already planned meetings with Oekozenter Pafendall, the exhibitors and their suppliers to review the fair and discuss its further optimisation.
