Fixed cameras alone flashed 215,000 violations, each of which is punishable with a €49 fine. Cameras also found that 15,000 motorists broke the speed limit by more than 20 km/h, which is three times as many as in 2021.
90,000 additional speed violations were recorded by mobile speed cameras.
According to Wort, the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works confirmed that two new fixed cameras will be installed in 2023: one on Rue de Bridel in Bereldange, the other in Saeul, although the exact location is still to be defined.
