The BNP Paribas building in Kirchberg was temporarily evacuated on Thursday afternoon when a malfunctioning powerbank emitted smoke, triggering the building’s fire alarm system.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), emergency protocols were activated after smoke was detected. Approximately 300 people were safely evacuated as a precaution.
Firefighters responded promptly and contained the incident, allowing staff to return to the building shortly afterward.
