
Twelve officers participated in the operation, which lasted from 3.15pm to 4.45pm on Tuesday.
30 motorists were forced to pay a fine for being over the 90 km/h speed limit, which meant €145 and tow points revoked from their license. In five further cases, police revoked the driving license at the scene.
One driver was fined for not using indicators before switching lanes, another one for using his phone behind the wheel. In two cases, drivers were unable to show tax certificates, another one lacked insurance papers. Police also found that two children did not wear their seatbelts correctly.
