
Déi Lénk criticised this state of affairs in a statement, outlining the events which saw 25 tenants vacate their premises between August and September.
Another eight families are about to lose their accommodation in furnished rooms on Rue Glesener. Déi Lénk, who have identified a violation against the "right to accommodation" protested the evictions on Friday.
The party has further demanded that emergency accommodation be set up in the city, and that the government set up national rules preventing this kind of forced eviction, especially during a national and international financial crisis.
