
Of the 161 inmates at the facility, 27 are on a waitlist - however, 12 of the candidates are ineligible due to disciplinary measures.
12 prisoners are currently working in the facility’s kitchens, while a further 12 posts have been created in areas such as sanitation.
As the number of inmates rises, more jobs will be created, said the Minister, and the prisoners are to be paid for their work.
