Police patrols were dispatched to four locations, three of them in the capital. Between 10.15pm and 2.15am, police officers stopped 162 motorists on Rue des Aubépines, Route de Longwy, and Rue de Bonnevoie.
15 of those drivers tested positive for alcohol. Three of them were given taxed warnings and the remaining twelve were fined. Four of the drivers had their licenses confiscated on the spot.
A police patrol was also based on the RN7 between Ettelbruck and Hoscheid-Dickt, between 10pm and 2am. 520 drivers were stopped, seven of whom found to be driving under the influence.
The police handed out one taxed warning and six fines, but did not seize any licenses.
