Sunday marked the end to this year's Octave celebrations with the Grand Ducal family participating in the final mass and procession as per custom.

Thousands of people came to the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City over the past two weeks. The annual religious celebration came to an end on Sunday with a pontifical mass in which the Grand Ducal family also participated.

Guest speakers were László Német, archbishop of Belgrade, who came to Luxembourg for a first time, and Renée Schmit.
