Despite Covid-192021 an 'exceptional' year for Spuerkees

The Spuerkees reports a net profit of €236.8 million in 2021, a 75% increase compared to 2020.

The bank’s customers had deposited nearly €37 billion in accounts, while loans of more than €25 billion were granted last year.

After distributing €40 million of the 2021 net profit to the Luxembourgish state in 2022, the remainder will enable the Bank to strengthen its regulatory capital, the level of which is more than sufficient to meet European solvency standards.

Moreover, Standard & Poor’s confirmed its high rating of AA+, while Moody’s awarded an excellent long-term deposit rating of Aa2 with a stable outlook.
