A 19-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon following a single-vehicle collision on the N12 between Bridel and Rollingergrund.
The incident occurred at around 12.40pm when the rider lost control on a curve and struck safety barriers.
Despite immediate response from emergency services, first responders were unable to save the young victim, who sustained fatal injuries at the scene. Police have not yet determined the cause of the crash but confirmed no other vehicles were involved.
Authorities have closed the affected N12 section until further notice. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes between Rollingergrund and Bridel.
