The roadside checks took place near Leudelange on the A4 towards Esch, on the N13 in Reckange-sur-Mess, and at Route d’Esch in Belvaux. Special attention was given to drivers exhibiting mobile phone use and those not wearing seatbelts. Motorcyclists were also the focus of these roadside checks.
Of the checks conducted on the A4, 11 motorcyclists received fines due to unsafe overtaking manoeuvres. One of the motorcycles displayed a non-compliant rear tyre.
Of the checks conducted at Route d’Esch in Belvaux, four drivers did not have their seatbelts fastened and three were using their mobile phones while driving. All received fines. Finally, a motorcyclist received a temporary driving ban following a positive alcohol test.
