18 out of 35 autopsies of dead foxes have revealed traces of the virus. Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development Romain Schneider provided this information in his response to a parliamentary enquiry by MP Guy Arendt (DP).
However, no case of distemper has yet been recorded in dogs, the veterinarian administration announced.
There is no existing vaccine against the virus.
