
In total, 58 local authorities from Germany, France, Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg were awarded gold status at the European Energy Awards for their dedication and work in climate protection.
A local authority qualifies for gold status if they implement over 75% of the potential measures to increase climate protection and energy efficiency. Among the 15 Luxembourgish councils were Luxembourg City, Esch-sur-Alzette, Beckerich, Clervaux and Wiltz.
