In two cases, individuals resisted the police, with two arrested in Differdange following a physical altercation with police officers. The public prosecutor’s office was informed of the incidents and police issued a protocol against the individuals.
In the early hours of Monday morning, a motorist resisted a police check in the Bouillon car park in Luxembourg City. The driver, who was intoxicated, punched and bit a police officer who tried to pull him over. A subsequent police search revealed the man had several grams of cannabis on his person. He was taken to a police cell to sober up overnight as he was deemed to represent a risk to himself and others, while the drugs were confiscated by order of the public prosecutor. Police also issued a fine.
