Throughout the year, private individuals, volunteers, clubs, associations, and companies have come together to support Télévie, raising donations to help strengthen the fight against cancer.
26 April marked the big Télévie day on RTL. From early morning, the donation counter was launched on the radio, with listeners encouraged to keep contributing. Telephone lines opened at 7am, and throughout the day, RTL featured live broadcasts, reports, and personal testimonies to keep the momentum going.
Each year, more than 3,000 adults and children are diagnosed with cancer in Luxembourg, and one in four lose their lives to the disease. Continued research funding is vital to offer new hope and better outcomes for those affected.
That’s the mission of Télévie: to fund cancer research, particularly into childhood leukaemia, by supporting leading research teams.
The 2025 edition of Télévie officially launched on 15 November during the Live! Planet People show.
This Saturday, the telethon came to a grand finale. RTL kicked off the donation counter early in the morning on the radio, encouraging listeners to contribute throughout the day. Four pledge centres–in Dippach, Koerich, Schengen, and Rodange–helped collect donations.
After raising €1,454,376 during the 2024 edition, Télévie 2025 achieved an exceptional result of €1,822,287 – made possible once again thanks to the incredible support of hundreds of volunteers, individuals, businesses, and associations.
