The number of hybrid cars registered in the Grand Duchy saw a significant increase in 2020 compared to the previous year.

The number of vehicles registered in Luxembourg continues to climb  - it is currently 431,000, compared to 364,000 seven years ago. This translates to a 3% increase year on year. The market for alternative vehicles, such as electric or hybrid, is increasing as well, but on a slower scale.

Ministers Dieschbourg, Turmes and Bausch, responsible for the environment, energy and mobility ministries respectively, confirmed the figures in a a response to three parliamentary questions posed by Pirate MP Marc Goergen:
