The Luxembourgish and French governments met for an intergovernmental commission, agreeing, among other things, that nine additional places will be made available for Luxembourgish medical students at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne. Luxembourg will be responsible for financing these places, which will increase the number from the current 25 to 34 students.

Due to a shortage of dermatologists in France, from January 2026 French residents will be able to make appointments with specialists in the Grand Duchy, covered by French social security. Another agreement will be put together to address the topic of childcare. As Minister of Education Claude Meisch said, around 3,000 children living in France currently attend nursery in Luxembourg. The Grand Duchy will offer financial support to help France develop and improve their own facilities for childcare.
