RTL and the Centre for Audiovisual Content (CNA) have provided us with another glimpse into the past, this time focusing on the performance of a tightrope artist crew in Dudelange.

Les funambules de la troupe Bugler étaient l’attraction de cette fin d’été 1955 à Dudelange. Ils ont dressé leurs mats et leurs filins devant l’hôtel de ville.
These images are from RTL Television report from August 1955. The tightrope artist crew ‘Bugler’ was the biggest attraction of the summer, delivering a spectacular performance right outside of the local town hall.
Safe to say that a similar event in current times would require a lot more safety precautions than was the case in the summer of 1955.
