In 1956, a mystical car was introduced to the Grand Duchy for the first time: the Renault 5CV, follow-up model of the 4CV and later baptised as the Dauphine.
In the television report shown above, you can see RTL announcer Mireille Delannoy behind the wheel of the Renault in what must have been one of the first televised car tests in Luxembourg.
Between 1957 and 1961, the Dauphine became the highest selling car in France, a success rate which also showed in the Grand Duchy at the time.
