3-20 October - CinEast Festival - Luxembourg - CINEMA

CinEast 2024 is shining the spotlight on Croatia with a programme of films, guests, Croatian evening, cine-concert and exhibition. Check the CinEast website for the full programme.

4 October - CinEast Festival Opening - Melusina - Luxembourg City - MUSIC

As the 17th edition of the CinEast Festival kicks off with a dynamic burst of Gypsy music and Balkan energy, head to Melusina for an evening with Lidiya Koycheva and her Balkan Orkestra, followed by a DJ party. Starts at 21:00. Presale tickets cost €19, on the door €22.

4 October - Samu Haber - den Atelier - Luxembourg City - MUSIC

As lead singer and frontman of Sunrise Avenue, Samu Haber has millions of fans around the globe - now the Finnish singer and songwriter is back with his first English-language solo single. Also a coach on “The Voice of Germany”, he is performing at den Atelier. Tickets are sold out, but listen to Today Radio to win tickets for this concert.

4 October - Oktoberfest 2024 - Big Beer Company - Luxembourg City - MEET

Dust off your dirndl and lederhosen, raise your beers and head down to the Big Beer Company for Oktoberfest vibes and live music every Friday and Saturday until mid November.

4 October - Science Slam - Cercle Cité - Luxembourg City - MEET

Six scientists from Luxembourg are participating in this Luxembourg Science Slam series - a format which combines the communication of current research and enjoyable entertainment. The scientists are allowed 10 minutes on stage to present a piece of their work to a public audience. 19:00 to 22:00, tickets are €5 each. 4 -6 October - Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch - Grand Theatre - DANCE

Boris Charmatz, the new director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch returns to Luxembourg with his first piece for the troupe of 26 dancers. Seated around the dance space, the audience can watch ‘Liberty Cathedral’ - a choreography of a storm of gestures, a cathedral without walls. Starts at 20:00. The performances are sold out, but head to the ticket office for returns on the night.

5 October - City Party - den Atelier - Luxembourg City - MEET

The City Party, organised by the city’s service jeunesse (youth department) is a chance for young people aged 12-17 to enjoy a night of music and dancing as various Luxembourg artists take to the stage. Doors open at 18:00. Tickets are €5.

5 October - Boogie - Casino - Luxembourg City - ART

Boogie is a new exhibition on the ground floor of Casino, the art gallery in the city centre. The curators, Charles and Stilbé are attempting to generate new perspectives on curatorial experimentation. Runs until 21.4.2025. Starts at 18:00.

5 October – Organ Recital – Notre Dame Cathedral – Luxembourg City – MUSIC

Take a moment from Saturday shopping to listen to Roger Recht performing a special organ recital in Notre Dame Cathedral. Entrance is free. 11:00 to 11:45.

5 October - Opera MET Live - Cine Utopia – OPERA

Experience the magic of live opera from the comfort pf your cinema seat. Utopia is offering a mini-subscription 8 titles of the new live season, including Tosca, Aida and The Barber of Seville. For full details, click here.

5-13 October - Atlantico Festival - Philharmonie - Luxembourg City - MEET

Experience artists from across the Portuguese-speaking world at the Philharmonie’s autumn “festival atlantico” over a full week of concerts and events. From cine-concerts, Philip Glass’s “Aguas da Amazonia” to a Cape Verdean party and Fado, this is a festival for everyone.

6 October - Angelique Kidjo - Rockhal - Esch/Belval – MUSIC

Angelique Kidjo, the icon of world music will be setting the Rockhal stage alight. The artist from Benin holds legendary concerts & live performances. Tickets cost €58.

6 October - Open Day - Coque - Luxembourg City - SPORT

Try out new sports such as climbing, wellness, fitness, sports classes for free at the Coque Open Day. Free entry from 11:00 - 17:00. More details to follow.

6 October - Mozart, the songwriter - Philharmonie - Luxembourg City - MUSIC

I choose such notes that love one another (Mozart)


If you would like to find out more about Mozart, in particular his vocal music (operas, arias, sacred music and Lieder), head down to the Philharmonie and hear a lecture and concert. Graham Johnson, commenting from the piano, will be accompanying young singers. Tickets are €28.00. Starts at 16:00

7 October - Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox - Rockhal – MUSIC

Postmodern Jukebox, the musical phenomenon that revisits pop hits in retro style are celebrating their 10th anniversary of touring and 1000th concert. Get ready to step back in time and enjoy the blend of music, dance and showmanship.

8 October - US Election Presentation & Discussion - Miami University - POLITICS

Would you like to know more about the US elections, current demographic trends and issues? Then head to a presentation and panel discussion hosted by the Miami University Luxembourg Foundation. Speaker of the evening is Dr. Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins, Ph.D., former president of the League of Women Voters of the United States, and retired assistant professor. 18:15 at POST Luxembourg (Bâtiment HELIX, 38 PI. de la Gare). 8 October - Lindsey Stirling - Rockhal - Esch/Belval – MUSIC

Discover one of the world’s greatest violinists: Lindsey Stirling. The multi-award winning violinist and dancer is coming back to the Rockhal to present her new album ‘Duality’. 9-17 October - Stolen Ground - Theatre des Capucins - Luxembourg City - THEATRE

9 October - De La Soul - Rockhal - Esch/Belval – MUSIC

De La Soul – a hip-hop mainstay since 1987 are bringing ‘Hip Hop Snacks’ to the Rockhal for one night. Should be a great night. Tickets are €65.

10-11 October - Angriff - Abbaye de Neimenster - Luxembourg City - DANCE

“Angriff” - a contemporary dance performance by an all-male cast questions what it means to be a man today and an understanding of the love and intimate world of two men. Salle Nic Klecker, Abbaye de Neimenster. 18:00. Tickets are €22.

10-12 October - Echter’ Classic Festival - Echternach - MUSIC

Head to different beautiful historical venues in Echternach for the classical 3-day music festival with concerts including the Stephany Ortega Trio and Luxembourg’s Philharmonic orchestra.

12 October - Museum Night - Luxembourg City - MEET

For the night owls among you, head down to the wonderful Museum Night with a special programme of performances, DJ sets, music, workshops, special guided tours in 7 participating museums. 17:00 - 01:00. Free shuttle buses are available.

12 October - Legends of Rock Tribute Festival - Esch/Belval - MUSIC

If AC/DC, Metallica and Iron Maiden are in your wheelhouse, you should head to the Rockhal and see their No.1 tribute bands from home and abroad. Starts at 19:30. Tickets cost €30 euros.

12 October – ALICE COOPER - Rockhal - Esch/Belval – MUSIC

ALICE COOPER is bringing his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new. Expect a stage show with dark and horror-themed theatrics he’s best known for. Tickets start at €76 but if you are feeling flush and want to meet the man yourself, you can buy the Dianmond Meet and Greet Package for €590.

13 October - Race for the Cure - Echternach - MEET

Think Pink Luxembourg is keeping up the fight against cancer with their 6th Annual ‘Race for the Cure’ , from 9 am to 12.30 pm at the Auberge de Jeunesse Echternach. For this year’s event, participants can run, walk, or jog around the lake as many times as they want. Racers will be in groups, with runners and joggers taking off at 10.30 am and walkers starting immediately thereafter.

13 October - Nut Market - Vianden - MARKETS

Up to 20,000 people head to Vianden for the nut market (Veiner Nessmoort) every year, to buy nuts, try the speciality cakes, vinegars and famous “Nessdrepp” (nut schnapps) and soak up the atmosphere of this traditional Luxembourg day out.

13-16 October - Lone Wolf - Grand Theatre - Luxembourg City - THEATRE

‘Lone Wolf’ is a play in Gibberish, which explores social expectations, consumerism, school shootings, as well as the tension between group behaviour and the need for recognition of the individual. Starts every night at 20:00. Standard tickets are €20, youth tickets are €8.

17 - 20 October - Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters - Coque - SPORT

Watch former world tennis stars play at the Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters. Kim Clijsters, Anett Konaveit and Daniela Hantuchov are among the players competing. Ticket prices are here:

18 October – FU MANCHU - den Atelier - Luxembourg City – MUSIC

Head down to den Atelier for one of hard rock’s most celebrated names - FU MANCHU. Tickets cost €32.

19 October – “Trunk or Treat” – Differdange – MEET

Enjoy a festive afternoon of decorated car trunks, candy, games, snacks, drinks and Halloween excitement. The American Women’s Club is holding its traditional “Trunk or Treat” Halloween event at the Chateau de Differdange from 12:00-16:00.Tickets are €20 per child. Adults go free.

19-20 October - Vianden Tattoo Convention - Vianden - MEET

Join 50 tattoo artists from across the world at the 23rd Vianden Tattoo Convention. Live traditional by-hand tattooing plus Samoa and Maori tapping and Japanese Tebori. There will be food trucks, DJs, and the chance to stock up on clothes and body jewellery.

20 October - Hunnefeier - Schengen - MEET

To mark the end of the annual grape harvest, head to Schengen for the ‘Hunnefeier’, an unusual festival which honours an ancient custom where on the last day of the harvest a living cockerel was tied to the end of the last row of vines to be harvested. The winegrower who harvested the fastest won the bird as a prize. Today the celebration has been replaced with a craft market with over 100 stalls, an exhibition of historic tractors and live music as well as the chance for a first taste of this year’s vintage.

23 October - Gary Clark Jr. - Den Atelier – Luxembourg City – MUSIC

Blending blues, reggae, punk, R&B, hop-hop and sould, Gary Clark Jr. is coming to the intimate venue that is den Atelier, having performed at venues like the Hollywood Bowl and at the White House for the Obamas. A don’t miss event. Tickets are €48.80.

24-27 October - Les Miserables - Rockhal – Esch/Belval - THEATRE

The legendary show ‘Les Miserables’, based on Victor Hugo’s novel, is coming to Luxembourg for a limited run as part of its world tour. Sing along to “I Dreamed a Dream”, “On my Own”, “Bring Him Home” at the Rockhal, freshly decorated in theatre style. In English with French and German surtitles. Tickets start at €64.80, but hurry, some performances are already sold out.

25 October - Concert de Midi - Trinity Church - Luxembourg City - MUSIC

Enjoy a midday musical interlude at the Protestant church in the City. The “concerts de midi” are put on by the City on selected Fridays with a broad repertoire ranging from classical music to more exotic finds. 12:30-13:30. Holy Trinity Protestant Church, 5 Rue de la Congregation, Luxembourg City. Entrance is free.

26 October - Diwali Gala - LuxExpo - Luxembourg City - MEET

The Indian Association of Luxembourg (IAL) will host the 2024 Diwali Gala at LuxExpo to celebrate this year’s celebration of the traditional Hindu holiday. Apart from the delicious Indian Dinner, the Diwali Gala promises to entertain the audience with two dance troops coming from Ghent & Luxembourg; Bollywood night with an Indian DJ & Dhol + Drum player. The event starts at 17:30 and will continue until 02.00.

26-27 October - Medieval Market - Remich - MARKETS

The main square of this Moselle town will host its sixth Medieval market with 44 stands, promising new craftsman such as salt boilers, soap makers, wood turners, pewterers, and blacksmiths. There will be replica jewellery, incense and scented stones. Entertainment comes from jugglers, and live music performers and plenty of food and flowing mead.

26-27 October - Game On - Rotondes - Luxembourg City - MEET

In its third year, the ‘Game On’ festival, dedicated to board and video games returns with a new range of games, tournaments, a second-hand market, pub quiz, and video game programming. You can also test out some game prototypes. Daytimes are for the family, but on Saturday night there will be tournaments for the adults.

27 October - The Stranglers - Rockhal - Esch/Belval - MUSIC

As the Stranglers approach their 50th anniversary this year, the ultimate cool British band is coming to play at the Rockhal. Tickets are still available for €53.90.

28 October - Bob Dylan - Rockhal - Esch/Belval - MUSIC

Last tickets are still available for the iconic Bob Dylan, bringing his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour to Luxembourg. It’s a return for Dylan, last here seven years ago. Tickets start at €99.

29 October - Frank Turner - den Atelier - Luxembourg City - MUSIC

Back in the ‘Bourg! Over two decades, Frank Turner’s career has soared, selling over 1 million records and entertaining more than 2 million fans. Listen to Today Radio for more information, interviews and for a chance to win tickets to this hotly anticipated gig.

31 October – Halloween – Luxembourg – MEET

Although this is sadly not a public holiday in Luxembourg, the next day (All Saints) is, so you can afford to go all out on this night. Details on Halloween parties to follow, but check out RTL Today’s ultimate pumpkin guide for several pumpkin events, promising a whole lot of pumpkin-themed excitement.

31 October - Deep Purple - Rockhal - Esch/Belval – MUSIC

And if you fancy spending Halloween with the pillars of world hard rock, come and sing along to ‘Smoke on the Water’ or ‘Child in Time’ with Deep Purple.
