1. Attend free piano concerts

What: Piano Days
Where: Conservatory, 33 Rue Charles Martel, 2134 Hollerich

The conservatory is dedicating a full weekend to the piano. With recitals by Gabriel Teclu, Anne Galowich and Menno van Delft, listeners can attend free concerts across four evenings. Furthermore, prizes are awarded to the top young pianists aged 7-18 at the 7th Golden Keys competition on Sunday.

2. Find jobs or learn about careers at job day

The annual job day is back at LuxExpo this Friday. Around 200 companies have stands offering permanent, fixed-term jobs, internships as well as general training and career advice. Whether you’re looking for work or are simply interested in meeting recruiters, partners or training organisations, this is the place to be. Maybe your next dream job is around the corner?

3. Support Relais Pour La Vie runners for charity

What: 24-hour run against cancer
Where: Coque arena, 2 Rue Léon Hengen, 1745 Kirchberg Luxembourg
When: Saturday, 23 March at 5.30pm until Sunday, 24 March at 7pm - FREE - more info here

Relais Pour La Vie (Relay for life) is a 24-hour run at the Coque arena to raise funds for cancer charities. Last year saw 13,143 participants join 260 teams to run or walk the race. The annual relay race is organised by the Cancer Foundation, launched in 1994 to raise money for cancer research. While it is too late to register a team or participate (if you’re not already), you can come support runners at the event from the stands and, if you are able, leave a small donation behind to support the cause. Prior to the event starting, cancer survivors are also sharing personal testimonials, expressing solidarity and support with those who may be living with cancer or who have loved ones with the disease.

4. Visit Parc Merveilleux opening weekend

What: Rides, animals and family entertainment
Where: Parc Merveilleux, Rte de Mondorf, 3260 Bettembourg
When: Opens for the season on Saturday, 23 March - info & tickets

The final preparations are underway ahead of this weekend’s big opening of Parc Merveilleux! Although not a park in the traditional sense, the Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg has been enjoyed by generations of children. In addition to traditional playgrounds, you can find a zoo with animals from all five continents, small rides, a miniature golf course, a petting zoo, and fairy tale booths in the park. The park requires a ticket (although under 3s go free), and season passes are available. A wonderful day out now that the weather is really getting lovely.

5. See Casino

What: Gambling thriller
Where: Cinémathèque, 17 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg
When: Saturday, 23 March at 8pm - info & tickets

Casino is a Martin Scorsese’s 1995 crime thriller. Ace, a resourceful mafia associate, is asked to run casinos in Las Vegas and rises to power. However, his altercations with Nicky, his friend, and Ginger, his love interest, creates complications.

6. Hear poetry slammers at Rotondes

What: Linguistic legends
Where: Rotondes, 3 Place des Rotondes, 2448 Bonnevoie

After months and years of honing their craft, seven international poetry slammers take to the stage at Rotondes, ready to crush their competition under the weight of their words. Performing in front of an audience tasked with crowning the champion of the year, they will use their language like few others can. As the texts are unleashed, nothing will hold them back! (There is an additional show taking place in Wiltz on Friday).

7. Watch Red Lions take on Georgia

What: Crucial Euro 2024 play-offs match
Where: Stream online here on RTL Today
When: Thursday, 21 March at 6pm

On Thursday, the much-anticipated Euro 2024 play-off match between Georgia and Luxembourg will take place at the Boris Paichadze Dynamo Arena in Tbilisi, with a live stream and ticker commentary here on RTL Today. The winner of Thursday’s game will face either Greece or Kazakhstan next week for a place at the European Championships this summer in Germany. This is one of the biggest games for the Red Lions, don’t miss it here! The stream will start at 5.30pm, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
