To round off the Cercle Cité exhibition ‘Hors-d’œuvre’ (appetisers), join author and chef Anne Faber as she revisits emblematic recipes from Luxembourg, all while being accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Luxembourg under the direction of Corinna Niemeyer. The programme is called Chef Meets Chef, that of course being the kitchen chef and the orchestra ch(i)ef! The music selected for the evening is even related to food. A wonderful concert/tasting dinner to entertain both your ears and taste buds!

Celebrate the Spirit of Pongal with Tamil Sangam Luxembourg this weekend at Tramschapp, a traditional harvest festival by the Tamil community that includes culinary delicacies, music and dance performances. Pongal is the Tamil equivalent of Thanksgiving, honouring the Sun, Mother Nature and cattle that helped contribute to a beautiful harvest. Echternach, the oldest city in Luxembourg, was hit particularly hard by the Third Reich in September of 1944. A strategic town, it was badly battered during the Ardennes Offensive, leaving Echternach in rubble and ash. When residents returned in the mid-1945s, they were confronted with a war-ravaged hometown. This exhibition tells the story and shows the pictures (and complex challenges) of the reconstruction period, headed by commissioner Joseph Schroeder.
