After a full rebrand, Amore returns to its roots with a focus on fresh pasta, shared meals, and genuine warmth.
After 3.5 years, the team behind what was once known as Amore decided to revisit their original idea for the newly named Amore Pasta Club. The new concept? Creating a space dedicated to the simple joy of gathering around a table and sharing a meal.
The goal? To make people feel at home, whether they're coming with family, friends, or colleagues, it's all about slowing down in this fast-paced world, and taking a moment to savour the pleasure of good food and good company.
During my chat with Gabriel Boisante, founder and manager of Mamaboys restaurant group (you'll hear me refer to him as Gab), he shared the story behind the rebrand and the vision for his new chapter.
The food
Amore Pasta Club has been completely reimagined. New name, new logo, new menu, new vibe. The restaurant’s focus is clear: fresh, seasonal pasta made in-house, combined with a rotating menu that changes every 2-3 weeks. Italian chef Eduardo, who joined two months ago, brings in traditional techniques with a modern twist. Think comforting sauces with personality, made to highlight what's in season.
Their sourcing philosophy deserves a mention too. From biodynamic 'alive' wines, to collaborations with local producers, there’s a clear effort to make every element of the experience thoughtful and sustainable.
The menu is small, focused and well thought out. Personally, I appreciate when places don't try to do too much, here each dish feels deliberate.
Among the starters: calamari fritti with homemade habanero mayo and a tartare with anchovies, both perfect for sharing alongside a cocktail. And speaking of cocktails – this is a big part of their identity. Gab mentioned the growing trend of people wanting to drink less alcohol, so the team started experimenting with low-ABV options (low alcohol by volume). Expect creative twists which are small in size (and price, at €6), ideal for a light lunch pairing.
For my meal, I went with Cerignola olives and taralli artigianali to start (€6). The olives were genuinely delicious, followed by the strozzapreti with butternut, blue cheese, pine nuts, herb oil, and crispy sage (€15). It was comforting, and beautifully autumnal, exactly what I hoped for on a crisp Sunday evening.
The pasta menu currently offers seven dishes, with three vegetarian options, plus a mix of fresh and dry pasta (though fresh remains the focus). Another highlight is their effort to keep dining out affordable, which feels rare these days. Their plat du jour goes for €16, while a lunch formula: entrée, pasta, and dessert, which sits around €20. For this part of the city, that's quite a feat…
Extras
I asked Gab if they're planning any events, and indeed, they are. Expect weekend happenings tied to their 'pasta identity'. Dinners paired with winemakers, special guest chefs, and food-focused evenings. The restaurant also has enough space to comfortably host families and groups (just note there's no changing room for babies).
Final thoughts
Amore Pasta Club feels like a fresh chapter, not just a rebrand, but a return to something more genuine. It's warm, thoughtful, and accessible, balancing culinary craft with a down-to-earth spirit. Whether you're after a cozy date night, a family meal, or just a solid bowl of fresh pasta with a glass of biodynamic wine*, this is the kind of place that quietly earns a spot on your regular list.
