Pope Francis visited Luxembourg September 26, 2024 for the first time in close to 40 years. RTL Today covered the event to provide you with all the news throughout the day.

Pope Francis landed at Findel airport shortly before 10am on Thursday, marking the beginning of his historic trip to the Grand Duchy.
The Pontiff first met with Grand Duke Henri at the Palace before meeting with other state officials at Cercle Cité.
In the early afternoon, the Pope drove through the capital in his iconic Popemobile, and he followed by a gathering with the Catholic community at the Cathedral.
Despite unfavourable weather conditions, many spectators have braved the elements to catch a glimpse of the Pope.
