
The amusement park’s Twitter announced that the Wodan-Timburcoaster rollercoaster is temporarily out of service following a technical fault. The park confirmed that there were no injuries, but the attraction is being repaired.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon - the rollercoaster’s cars were at the beginning of the climb when a chain broke off. 24 passengers on board had to be evacuated, but none were injured. The park’s spokesperson also confirmed that the maintenance team would install an additional braking system which would require daily maintenance.
The Wodan Timburcoaster was inaugurated in 2012, is 1,050 metres long, and reaches heights of 40 metres. The cars can travel at speeds reaching 100 km/h.
