The DiscoverEU contest is an initiative of Erasmus+, and offers you the opportunity to discover the culture, history, and people of Europe. Equipped with a travel pass, you can embark on this journey by taking advantage of the rail lines all around the continent. The selected travellers will receive a DiscoverEU Youth Card that gives access to a wealth of discounts on cultural visits, sports, transportation, learning activities, food, and accommodation.

Application requirements

  • Anyone born between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007; the identity card number or passport number is required in the online application
  • Citizens or legal residents of an EU member state or a non-EU country associated with the Erasmus+ programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, or Turkey)
  • Participation in a quiz (unless you apply as a group member)
  • Groups of four are allowed if they fulfil the participation criteria

The selected travellers will receive support from the national Erasmus+ agency for their travel preparations. Furthermore, travellers with disabilities or health-related issues will receive special support.

The DiscoverEU Facebook group also offers the opportunity to contact other group members.

You can apply here until 16 April. Don’t miss this great opportunity!
