The airport will serve around 30 destinations until the end of the month, with Verdonck hopeful they will be able to add more as European borders reopen.
From next Monday, travellers will have their temperature taken upon arrival at the airport, and will not be allowed to board their flight if they have a fever exceeding 38°.
Masks will be compulsory for all passengers aged 12 and over. Areas within the airport will be marked to allow distancing.
On average, the airport expects to see around 10 flights per day, compared to pre-crisis levels of 80 flights.
