It's no secret that real estate prices in Luxembourg's capital are through the roof, but some listings really make you consider your options...

Everywhere in the world one finds extravagant mansions at extravagant prices, but €7 million for a house in the Grand Duchy's capital makes one wonder what else might be purchased for the same price...
How about an island?
For just €6.5 million, you could own an island near the Bahamas. This Caribbean paradise covers 2,400 square metres of land.
And you would still have €500,000 left to build your dream house on it.
Or 673 nights in a luxury hotel, perhaps?
Alternatively, you could enjoy a luxurious stay at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. The ‘Diplomatic Suite’ costs €10,400 per night and offers stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. You could book this suite for almost two years with your budget.

Keep on renting
With €7 million, you could rent an apartment for €2,500 per month and live there for 233 years. Or you could rent a house for €5,000 per month and live there for 116 years.
Either way, you would have a decent place to stay for a long time.
Fancy yourself a bit of crypto?
If you want to invest your €7 million in crypto currencies, you could buy about 333 Bitcoin (as of 3 March).
But if you prefer traditional assets like gold, you could get 125 kilograms of it with the same amount.
1,120 months of globe-trotting
Many people dream of exploring the world. A cruise lets you visit a variety of destinations in a short time span. With €7 million, you could cruise for over 93 years at a rate of €25,000 for every four months.

How about you, what would you do with €7 million? Invest in a house in Luxembourg City?
