Pears are already delicious on their own, but peared (get it?) with a chocolate sauce? YUM!

Ingredients

For the pears

  • 4 pears
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ vanilla pod
  • 6 g saffron
  • 200 g sugar
  • 600 ml water

For the chocolate sauce

  • 100 g dark chocolate (70%)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 20 g butter
  • 30 g caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp crème fraiche
  • Vanilla ice cream or pear sorbet
