'Rendez-Vous au Jardin' will be back soon for its 2024 edition, and you can bring your children on a magical tour of Luxembourg's loveliest gardens.
Gardens: often the starting point of stories and fairy tales, they come in all shapes and sizes: pretty and mysterious, lively and quiet, big and small...
Luxembourg has a wide variety of lovely floral and green spaces, perfect for exploring as a family during the 'Rendez-Vous au Jardin 2024'. The event, which celebrates all types of stunning gardens, runs from Friday 31 May until Sunday 2 June 2024. This year’s edition is dedicated to the theme 'the five senses in the garden'.
With a selection of workshops, concerts, visits and other fun events all over the country, we've handpicked the best ones for children.
Waassersënneswe: Trailing along the stream

Start: C. R.314 between Lultzhausen and Eschdorf
Distance: 2.8 km
Explore the peaceful path along the stream linking Lultzhausen and Eschdorf. The aim of this child-friendly hiking trail is to highlight and celebrate the importance of water as well as its role within nature and all living beings. The various themed stations invite visitors to meditate and reflect in the heart of nature.
Follow the sounds: Hoscheid hiking trail
Start and finish : Church car park, 6, Lisseneck. L-9377 Hoscheid.
In Hoscheid, in the middle of the Our Nature Park, this year's event features a 6 kilometre long circular hiking trail based on the theme of 'sound'. Different artists from Germany and abroad have created a variety of sound points here, for an experience that is certain to delight adults and children alike.
Every station is different and the sounds are designed to be in absolute harmony with the landscape. At Café Annette, you can also borrow a "sound backpack" free of charge, which includes additional tools you can use at the various stations.
Find the Water Fairy
Start: Eschdorf, village centre of the town hall
Length: 4.5 km
Duration: approx. 2 hours
The trail is marked by the symbol of the dragonfly and it is especially friendly for children. There are individual stations where visitors can experience nature with all of their senses.
Along the way, there are small nature-adventure games that make the hike exciting and fun for the children. The hiking trail leads from Eschdorf down into the valleys of the Millbesch and the Grondmillebaach, then via the field village Pëtzbech back to the starting point.
Concert in the garden at Villa Vauban

The historic Villa Vauban in Luxembourg City has amazing gardens, and is offering the chance to attend a live concert on 2 June. Sit back on the grass, relax and let the musicians serenade you with the flute and the guitar.
