10 faboulous restaurants and food-places where your children will feel like they are inside a storybook!

The inspiration for this article came to me a few days ago when I discovered a pancake restaurant in the Netherlands that really looks magical.

When I posted about it on the TmK Facebook page, it got a lot of attention. I believe you will understand why when you see it.

So let’z discover some restaurants that, apart from serving food, also serve a bit of magic…

The interior decoration is nothing like your typical restaurant. Here you really get the fairy tale feeling!

From the way the chairs and the tables are designed, to the aquarium and the fireplaces, this restaurant is dreamy and unique.

Plus, it is just next to Balade des Gnomes if you would like to continue your fairy tale trip. (remember our article about the Trojan Horse?)

And a little secret: you are not far from magical Durbuy either…I can see you already adding it to the list of things to do!

Address: Rowe dè Rèmoleû 20, B-6941, Heyd

3. La Cabane de Marie, France

Would you like to feel like you're in Canada, eating North American Food, all while actually being in France? Then la Cabane de Marie is just the place for you!

Cozy, beautifully decorated and with delightful gadgets. So why not?

I could write paragraphs after paragraphs to describe this typical German restaurant, but it still wouldn't be enough to do it justice!

The interior is like an old barn and a museum at the same time. Inside it looks exactly like an old barn, but it's perfectly maintained.

You will find hundreds of old-timey objects that can be admired by both young and old! It almost feels like you're in a museum or like you're walking inside a massive treasure chest.

It's even more magical when the Christmas markets in Traben-Trarbach are happening. If you haven't tried it yet, it's a definite YES from me.

Address: Neue Rathausstraße 15, D- 56841, Traben-Trarbach

5. Pyrmonter Mühle, Germany

We discovered this restaurant unexpectedly a few years ago, while driving up to Burg Eltz.

After a turn in the road, my eye caught a glimpse of this building and something inside of me told me that I needed to stop here. So I did. We climbed down a small stairwell and suddenly we were standing next to these gorgeous waterfalls.

During warmer days, the terrace is absolutely amazing! The children can play in the green grass and the whole family can admire the beautiful landscape that is surrounded by water. Check out their facebook page for more information!

But don't miss the majestic Burg Eltz, because having a magical experience twice is better than just once! Right?

Address: Pyrmonter Mühle 1, Roes, Germany

6. Wirthaus zur Glocke, Germany

The foundation of this restaurant go back to the 11th-century fortifications of the city of Trier. As such, it offers a real medieval ambiance. You'll eat like a knight and tell your children stories from a time long before theirs.

The Cellar is an experience on its own and definitely worth a visit!

Address: Glockenstrasse 12, D-54290 Trier, Germany

7. Dinner on the lake Neupre, Belgium

Dine on a boat and experience a gastronomic experience with the feeling of magic, whilst being on water and surrounded by beautiful nature.

The boat you dine on docs at multiple places in Belgium, but the nearest one to Luxembourg in on lake Neupre, at the Cheateau de Neuville.

You can check the website to see if they offer a kids menu and decide for yourself.

Address: Allé du Chateau 13, B-4121, Neupré (near Liège)

For book and music lovers in Luxembourg, this restaurant is paradise! I personally love the feeling of being surrounded by books... The decorations really give you the feeling of being somewhere else and allow you to disconnect and recharge at the same time.

Address: 1, rue de Laroche, L-1918 Luxembourg

10. Foodloop Restaurant, Europapark, Germany

EUROPAPARK is in my opinion not only the best theme park in Europe, but also one of the best in the world.

It features so many amazing rides, experiences, restaurants, shows, hotels and more... It is really a theme park that everyone needs to visit at least once in their lifetime!

The Foodloop restaurant makes our list because of its unique concept: the food arrives via rails, like a roller coaster. A fascinating experience, especially for children who will have trouble believing their eyes!

Address: Europa-Park-Straße 2, D- 77977 Rust
