Treetop climbing and forest fun is always on top of our list of favourite activities as a family.

And I am certain that's the case for many other families also. After having recently received some questions on where the best activity forests are located, I decided to provide you with a useful directory. You will be happily surprised to know that there are so many located in and around Luxembourg.

1.     Steinfort Adventure

A great activity forest park for small children from 4 years old in our beautiful Luxembourg.

It was the first one we visited with our children when they were 5 years old and they absolutely loved it.

2.     Park Leh

From the age of one and a half, kids can have fun on the specially built trail called Bambini. This trail with a height of just 1 meter allows parents to easily follow and help their youngsters as mentioned on the website.

Do not forget to visit all the barefoot paths - they are so much fun!

3.     Pio Aventure, Longwy (France)

A great place for accrobranche, as it is called in French.

The minimum age is 3 years old.

There are also other activities offered like bubble foot and archery.

4.     Terraltitude, Fumay (France)

Different activities are proposed here, like the zip line Fantasticable, while for the tree climbing activity the minimum age is 4 years old.

5.     Adventure Park Wavre (Belgium)

A nice forest activity park with options like Fly and Zip lines next to the standard tree climbing and accrobranche.

This could be combined with a nice weekend stay in Brussels.

6.     Adventure Park Saar, Saarbrücken (Germany)

The minimum age to participate in the activities of this park is 5 years.

The children's climbing labyrinth looks like so much fun!

7.     Homburg Fun Forest, Homburg (Germany)

Maybe one of the nicest adventure forests due primarily to its excellent location next to a beautiful lake. There is a very nice restaurant with beautiful views of the lake. This is a great idea for a Sunday excursion or day trip. There is also a water playground, mini golf and hiking trails nearby.

8.     Adventure Valley Durbuy (Belgium)

We really enjoyed Adventure Valley Durbuy the first time we visited and we would love to go back. Although we did not try the forest activities, as we did the laser game and bowling, we could see that the location is excellent with beautiful nature around. The beautiful town of Durbuy is also nearby.

9.     Pokeyland, Fey (France)

Pokeyland near Metz France is an activity park that offers more than 30 experiences, from paintball, water jumps and climbing to a laser game, and of course accrobranche.

10.   Centerparcs (France)

Centerpacs are holiday parks for families. There are many different locations, some of which offer accrobranche for both children and adults.

11.    France Aventures Amneville (France)

There are many things families can try in Amneville and one of them is the forest adventure. Other outdoor activities are offered as well, like laser game and archery tag.

12.     Pompey Aventures (France)

A big adventure forest with 17,000 meters of steel cable for the visitors' greatest pleasure. Accrobranche, paintball, an escape game, and electrical scooters are some of the additional activities offered.

13.      Fort Pelissier (France)

Many activities and experiences can be done at Fort Pelissier, adapted in accordance with the age of the children.

There are different courses for the age group of 3 to 5 years old, one for children from 6 to 11 years and the big course from 12 years old.

14.     Arbre &Aventure, Lac de Madine (France) 

At the beautiful lake of Madine, tree climbing is offered from 4 years old.

15.     Accrofolie (Contrexeville, France) 

Tree climbing fun for all, starting at 4 years old.

An escape game and paintball are also offered.

16.     Natura Parc, Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure (Belgium)

Another park for outdoors activities like tree climbing and zip lines next to a beautiful lake.

It is also possible to stay overnight.

17.      Dinant Evasion (Belgium)

This is the highest adventure park of Belgium. As noted on the website, it stands at the top of a hill overlooking the Meuse valley. Even before you take up the first challenge, you are already almost 60m above the river. Enjoy magnificent panoramas and breathtaking activities at the same time.

18.       Avenature (Belgium)

Many activities are offered including the new game of discgolf currently popular in the US, Japan and New Zealand.

19.       Fort Aventure (Belgium)

Tree climbing adventures at Fort Aventure start from 5 years old.

20.       Ardennes Aventures (Belgium)

The adventure park of the beautiful Roches-en-Ardenne offers tree climbing but also many other activities. It can be combined with a visit to this beautiful town.
