As the holiday period draws to an end, another festive season lies just around the corner with the upcoming 'fuesent' or carnivals!
As one of our colleagues said in 2019: brace yourselves, wild times lie ahead! While the specifics of individual events in that article are rather out of date at this point, the background information on carnival season remains true.
The carnival season kicks off one day after Liichtmëssdag (2 February), and traditionally ends on Ash Wednesday ("Äschermëttwoch", 22 February). So what can you expect during the carnival season? Well, to put it succinctly: a lot of food, drink, merriment, costumes, and parades.
