Time is a funny thing, and it seems just yesterday that we - giddy with excitement - embarked on the brand new adventure that is and was RTL Today Radio. A short few months later, we launched further shows, introduced new hosts, new games, new (nearly) everything.
As if that isn’t enough, the first year saw our tireless radio crew (and heaven bless them for this; they were a BUSY bunch) attend endless festivals and gigs. They’ve also become some of our favourite characters on social media - this editor will forever love their Ode to a Missing Steps - including on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Somehow, despite running around like mad to organise hundreds of interviews, being at every event under the moon, producing fantastic radio, and building one of the warmest communities around, they have also had time to further refine and perfect their lineup and scheduling of shows.
So, as we enter into the second year of RTL Today Radio, it’s with the greatest of honour that us Today web folk bring to you the brand new RTL Today Radio schedule.

The Home Stretch, hosted by Melissa Dalton, will move back to its original time slot of 4-7pm. Why is that, you may ask? Sam Steen, head of programming, hints at some exciting new developments:
“With some big announcements and new ways to listen to RTL Today Radio coming our way, we know that listeners will want to hear Melissa’s great blend of upbeat singalong tunes, fun games and positive stories while they make their way home. That evening commute is about to get a whole lot easier!”
The daytime 2pm slot will now feature some of our great weekend content, with shows such as Sarah Tapp’s Hangover hitting the airwaves on a Monday (in addition to her 10am Sunday slot), while Natalie von Laufenberg’s The Deep Dive, the DB3 show and the UK Chart Show will move their weekday airings to 2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Ben Andrews round off the week with his show reaching your ears at 2pm on Fridays.
That’s not the end of our improvements though - “some of our great talk shows will feature during the daytime too, with Sunday’s Letz Talk Sport repeating on Monday morning at 10am and Wednesday night’s show on Thursday, again at 10am.” Sam’s playing his cards close to his chest here.. but this editor can confirm that there’s even more exciting stuff coming from the Letz Talk Sport lads. I won’t say what, but it’s going to be amazing.
The Lisa Burke Show, meanwhile, will be airing a second time on Tuesdays at 10am, with her original slot at 11am on Saturdays staying unchanged.
And finally, there’s a brand new show coming on Fridays. It’s called Community Conversations, and Sam describes it as a show that “will feature some of our great conversations from our various shows. With guests from local charities, community clubs and organisations and event organisers, it’s another way RTL Today Radio can highlight the wonderful work done by residents here in the GD.”
So don’t miss out - tune in to RTL Today Radio, and do so all day, every day!
