RTL Today Radio just turned 6 months old and after the smallest of breathers over the summer months, we are delighted to present a new, bigger, longer schedule from Monday 5 September, with new shows covering local sport, music, culture and the people that make Luxembourg tick.
'Right from the very start we've wanted to provide our listeners with great content any time they tune in and with the addition of three more hours of shows every day we really are with our listeners "All Day, Every Day"', explained Sam Steen, Head of Programming and host of The Sam Steen Show (weekday mornings from 6am-10am).
The Lunchbox with Stephen "Steps" Lowe continues in its regular 12pm-2pm slot but fans will also get a new show from the station's Head of Music; LOUDER premieres this Monday from 8pm-9pm. It’s everything you love about RTL Today Radio, only louder. Want guitars turned up to 11? This is the show for you.
The Home Stretch hosted by Melissa Dalton now has a new home, running from 3pm to 6pm. A slightly new time but keeping all the community interviews, competitions, fun music and chat that listeners enjoy.
The 6pm to 8pm slot will rotate each day with the weekend shows bursting in to the midweek schedule.
Veteran DJ Ben Andrews curates a show with the freshest tracks and classic tunes on Monday. Natalie Von Laufenberg delves in to the music we all love on The Deep Dive on Tuesdays. David Burrowes (DB3) showcases the best music made in Luxembourg. Elliot Darby takes a break from his BBC Radio One duties to deliver The UK Chart Show on Thursday.
And as if that's not enough, Sarah Tapp, the latest addition to the RTL Today Radio team, keeps things chilled with The Hangover, a show featuring great music for people who made bad choices, broadcasts live on Sunday mornings between 10am and 12pm and is repeated on Fridays.
Scott & Nathan from Letz Talk Sport have an extra show and can now be heard talking local and international sport, with regular guests from a whole host of sporting backgrounds on Wednesdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm.
Marina Lai has also joined the team and her Sunday talk show (2pm) will alternate between Success Stories, where she chats with interesting people about their lives, and Ask The Expert, where Marina asks different people in the know all the questions you always wanted to ask but were too afraid to pose the question.
The Lisa Burke Show stays in its original slot of 11am-12pm Saturdays and a repeat at 12pm on Sunday. However the popular topical chat show will now also be available to watch back on video on RTL Play.
RTL Today Radio have also teamed up with local DJ collective Beyond Music to bring listeners a new dance mix every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 8pm.
RTL Today Radio are also delighted to present a slew of new and continuing podcasts, Song 2 (the number one music podcast in Luxembourg), Talking Music (Music interviews), Spotlight (highlighting people and events in Luxembourg), The Marina Lai Show, The Lisa Burke Show, and Letz Talk Sport.
Finally, and this is a pretty big deal, you need never miss a moment of what we produce as ALL of our shows and podcasts will be available to listen back to, IN FULL, on RTL Play whenever or wherever you may be.
RTL Today Radio, with you "All Day, Every Day".
