Aisling Guilfoyle, the 2025 Luxembourg Rose, joined The Sam Steen Show this morning ahead of her upcoming trip to Ireland for the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
Aisling was chosen at this year’s Luxembourg Rose Ball and will soon take part in the annual Rose Tour, joining 31 other Roses from around the world.
The Roses begin their journey with a five-day tour across Ireland before arriving in Tralee on 15 August. The festival culminates with two nights of televised celebrations and the selection of the 2025 International Rose on Tuesday, 19 August.
Speaking on Today Radio, Aisling said she was excited and slightly daunted by the packing list: “The hardest part is planning over 20 outfits”, she laughed. But at its heart, she said, the festival is about “having fun, being true to yourself and making friends for life”.
Originally from Cork on her father’s side, Aisling grew up in Luxembourg and described the Rose of Tralee as a special way of staying connected to her Irish heritage. During her appearance on The Sam Steen Show, she also reflected on the strong community ties that make the Luxembourg Rose selection so unique.
This year’s Luxembourg Rose Ball raised €6,000 for charity, with funds split between Autisme.lu and Friends of the Coombe – an Irish charity that supports the development of the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital in Dublin.
You can follow Aisling’s journey throughout the festival on the Luxembourg Rose’s official Facebook and Instagram pages.
Best of luck, Aisling, all of Luxembourg is cheering you on.
