Luxembourg native Kim Lang has built a successful career in London, where he has lived and worked as a fashion photographer since 2010.
Over the past decade and a half, Lang has established himself in the British capital, now counting international designer brands and renowned magazines among his clients. His work regularly takes him to major cities around the world – travel, he says, is not only a professional requirement but also his primary source of creative inspiration.
Drawing on his Cape Verdean heritage, Lang feels a particular connection to the cultures of the Atlantic and the Caribbean. This sense of identity, situated between Europe, Africa, and the Americas, serves as a recurring theme across his artistic endeavours.
Alongside his more personal projects, Lang remains active in the commercial sphere of fashion and lifestyle photography. His distinctive style – characterised by a deliberate play with light, texture, and cultural influences – has earned him international recognition.
Our colleagues from RTL.lu recently visited Lang in London, where they were granted a glimpse into his studio, his career trajectory, and the motivations that drive his work.
