The Skoda Tour de Luxembourg begins officially on Thursday at 1pm after cyclists competed in a time trial on Wednesday evening.
As with yesterday, we will be highlighting any road disruptions caused by the Tour de Luxembourg as well as implications on public transport.
The first stage of the Tour de Luxembourg will leave Luxembourg City at 1pm. This is the stage-race's official beginning after yesterday's time trial won by the French cyclist Christophe Laporte.
The race's departure will cause the closure of several roads in the capital, namely Rue du Fossé, Côte d'Eich, Place Dargent, Rue Auguste Laval, and Route d'Echternach.
Rue Notre-Dame, Rue de l'Eau, and Rue Sigefroi will also be closed to all traffic between 11am and 1.30pm on Thursday. Once the cyclists reach Route d'Echternach, they will leave the capital and head towards Waldhaff. The rest of the route can be seen on the below map. Cyclists will head northwest through Redange, Grosbous, and up near Wiltz before returning south nearer the Belgian border to the end of the route in Hautcharage.
